Do you have to require medical assistance to move in?
Our community will support seniors that are completely independent, as well as those that require assistance. We are an ideal setting for individuals who are looking for maintenance-free lifestyle with lots of activities to engage in and increased socialization.
What kind of nursing supervision do you provide?
The community will provide 24-hour nursing supervision.
Do you offer a variety of apartment sizes?
Palagio offers a variety of apartment styles and sizes to fit your needs. Floor plan options include studios, one bedroom, and two bedroom apartments. All apartments have private bathrooms and kitchenettes, plus other comfortable amenities.
Are the apartments furnished or do I bring my own furniture?
All of our apartments are unfurnished, so our residents have an empty canvas in which to create their new home the way they like it. We encourage our residents to personalize their apartments with family pictures, their favorite furniture, etc.
Do you allow pets in the community?
Palagio is a Pet-Friendly community. Ask for details.
Can I keep my car when I move in?
Yes, our residents are allowed to utilize their vehicles and keep them on site. Parking will be available for any residents who would like to bring their car.
Is smoking permitted in the community?
Smoking will not be permitted inside the community, but a designated smoking area outside will be available to accommodate smokers.
Do you accept any financial assistance programs?
Palagio is a private pay community, and allows residents to utilize financial assistance programs. Programs like the VA’s Aid and Attendance Pension benefit program and various types of Long-Term Care Insurance Policies help many seniors with the cost of Senior Living communities.
I am a veteran, is there financial assistance available for me?
A veteran or a surviving spouse of a veteran may be eligible for the VA Aid and Attendance Program. More information on this program can be found at: http://www.benefits.va.gov/pension/aid_attendance_housebound.asp

Is there transportation available to and from medical appointments?
Palagio provides transportation services on a weekly basis for shopping, medical appointments and many other locations within a 10 mile radius. With advanced notice, special arrangements can be made to accommodate other destinations.
Is this a buy-in community?
Palagio is not a “Buy-In” community. We only require a one-time community fee at the time of move-in. Otherwise, we are a month-to-month rental community and the rent is due on the 1st of each month.
Will I have to sign a long lease?
Palagio is a month-to-month rental community. The Executive Director will meet with you to review and sign a Residency Agreement which only requires a written 30- day notice to vacate the community.
How will my loved one be assessed for care needs?
Palagio is a person-centered approach community, which means, our Wellness Director will complete a thorough personal assessment for each resident to determine the services they need in order to provide the care our residents require and deserve. An individualized service plan will be developed to ensure all care needs are met on a daily basis with the resident’s needs and preferences in mind.
How often can I visit my loved one?
Palagio is your loved one’s home. We encourage you to visit as often as you can, any time of the day or night. Regular visits by family and friends lets your loved one know you care about them and it helps them adjust to their new home. We encourage families to develop relationships with the team at Palagio as well.
What is a Senior Living Community?
A Senior Living Community is a place in which seniors can live, receive care or assistance with the activities of daily living, and grow through activities and socialization. Palagio offers a safe and secure environment where seniors can live an independent lifestyle but also receive support with daily activities, such as, bathing, dressing, medication management, and more.
How is your Community different from a nursing home?
Palagio does not provide advanced, round-the-clock medical care. Nursing homes are designed to assist individuals who have health conditions that require constant monitoring and round-the-clock availability of medical personnel. We cannot accept residents that require skilled nursing care, IV Therapies, and other skilled needs.
