Tracy Underwood

Executive Director of Palagio Senior Living

Tracy has been in love with senior living since she was a child. She was blessed to spend vast amounts of time with her grandparents and their friends and watched how they enjoyed the good life. Tracy’s experience in senior living spans more than a decade in working in skilled nursing, independent, assisted living and memory care. Her goal is to help to create a community that exudes a caring, compassionate and fun vibration. You will find Tracy out in the community sharing time with residents and assisting the staff most days. When not at the community, Tracy spends time with her husband Jamie fishing, jet skiing and traveling. She has four grown sons and two daughters-in-law.

Amber Luke

Marketing Director

Amber has a passion for caring and assisting seniors and their families to feel confident that they have found the best community. She has built a network of professional resources who admire her attention to detail when helping seniors move to the community. Considered a trusted advisor, Amber consistently exceeds expectations and customers are delighted at her professional attention to detail. She continually receives praise for her seamless move in experiences.

Amber served eight years in the United States Army Reserve where she offered her best to her peers, superiors and country.  In 2012, she graduated as Distinguished Honor Graduate from the Warrior Leadership Course and went on to continue to lead and train other soldiers.

Amber earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Health Administration from the University of North Florida, graduating in 2015. She has also earned her Assisted Living Facility CORE certification. She enjoys spending time with her family, comedy and traveling.

Kristin Eisenstein

Marketing Director

Kristin was born in Virginia Beach, VA into a Navy family.  Her first formal education began at the local schoolhouse in Solva, Wales, UK at age 4.  Returning to the U.S. in Jacksonville schooling continued at Bishop Kenny High School through her associates degree at FCCJ.   Kristin has an accounting background but decided to jump careers, finding her calling in the senior care industry.  She has earned ALF CORE certification, Alzheimer’s Certified Dementia Practitioners certification (NCCDP) and MedTech Certification making her a well-rounded asset to the team.  She loves helping people and has previously held senior staff positions with other ALF facilities in Clay and Putnam Counties.

Kristin loves spending time with her family, doing home construction projects and has always had an affinity for all things artistic, be it sketches, paintings, chalk or her specialty — custom stained glass.  You will always find Kristin behind a warm smile and offering help and kind words to all who meet her.

Kim Herbert

Director of Nursing

Kim has been a nurse for over 16 years. She loves working with residents to make them aware of their health and focus on wellness and longevity. She wants to foster a sense of empowerment with residents to be able to take charge of their lives. Kim completed her nursing education in 2003 and later earned her Bachelor’s Degree in 2012 in Business Management from Central Methodist University.

She enjoys spending time with her husband, Randy and three sons, Trevor and twins Logan and Connor. They also have a dachshund named Piper and a shih tzu named Violet that the family loves dearly. In her spare time Kim enjoys making furniture and photography.

Alicia Mack

Business Office Director

Alicia Mack comes to us with years of experience in senior living. She is quite adept at helping residents and families understand their monthly invoice and navigate billing long term care policies. Alicia is also CORE trained and holds her ALF Administrator’s license. When the Executive Director is absent, Alicia is Palagio’s designee. Additionally, Alicia oversees the onboarding process for all of our staff. She ensures each candidate has passed a Level 2 background screen, drug screen and is credentialed to work in the US. Alicia is proud mother to a young son and they enjoy outdoor activities together.

Roger Hart

Maintenance Director

Roger Hart is a seasoned professional in the area of plant operation with many years of experience in both senior living and new construction. His passion is working with senior adults and he prides himself on maintaining the community that the residents can proudly call home. 

Roger has called Jacksonville his home base for 50 years, though growing up in a Navy family, he travelled extensively with his family during his youth. His experiences living among other cultures, especially his time living in Iran, make him very pleased to be living in the USA.

Roger has raised two wonderful sons over the years and enjoys his extended family who live in the area as well. On his time off, he spends time fishing, camping, watching the Dallas Cowboys, and with his dog, Bella.

Sandy Bernard

Dining Director

Sandy comes with phenomenal experience in hospitality and assisted living. She is recognized for her eye for quality of food choices and delicious multi layered flavor combos but is also famous for her incredible meatloaf! She can do it all and enjoys hearing from her residents about new recipe ideas.

You won’t have to choose between flavor and nutrition since she combines both into the dishes along with her attention to detail in food presentation.

Sandy hails from Western Massachusetts originally. She is a huge fan of the Boston Redsox and Bruins but locally she loves to attend the Jacksonville Iceman Hockey. She also enjoys attending concerts in a variety of genres.  You may have seen her at the Jacksonville Symphony as well.

We know having her on Team Palagio is music to our ears!

Amanda Darga

Life Enrichment Director

Amanda is thrilled to service the residents at Palagio Senior Living. She is originally from Michigan, where she earned her degree in Business from Northern Michigan University. Shortly after, she moved to Florida and began her career in senior living. Her passion to serve seniors led her to become an Activity Director Certified, Certified Dementia Practitioner, and Certified Montessori Dementia Care Professional.

She strives to fill the day with a balance of purposeful and meaningful programs that keep residents active, engaged and looking forward to tomorrow.

Amanda’s greatest reward comes from creating personal connections with each of her residents. She finds the stories and life lessons they have to share a true testament of life’s journey. With these stories she cultivates innovative programs to delight her residents and bring about a sense of togetherness.
